1 - Arrival Day : pick you from Kilimanjaro airport or Arusha Airport and drive to the hotel in Arusha for overnight at the hotel.
Itinerary DAY 2 - ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Leave the hotel with packed lunches and drive towardsTarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. Lunch boxes will be provided to you at the picnic point. After game drive, drive to dinner and overnight at MARERA VALLEY LODGE .
DAY 3 - KARATU TO NGORONGORO THEN TO LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast, drive and descend down the crater floor (600m) for game viewing with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro is described as one the 7 wonders of the world and the largest intact volcanic caldera and famous for being the first place where animal density is high, you can expect to see many animals including black rhino in their free surroundings, Lions, Zebra, Wildebeest, Hyena, Jacol, Cheetah, Leopard also abundant birdlife including Pelican and red Flamingoes, Turacles, Fire finch etc Sometimes you may be lucky to sport the big five inside Ngorongoro crater. In the afternoon ascend the crater walls and drive back to Karatu for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4 - Tanzanian Tribes
This day will be dedicated to a meeting with two of the most prominent tribes in Africa. After breakfast we will meet the Masai tribe, among the oldest tribes in East Africa. The Masai are a tribe of semi-nomadic shepherds, preserving traditional lifestyles with piety that give it its special character. During the visit we will get an authentic glimpse of their interesting culture, enter the special residential buildings and witness traditional dance and singing performances. We will then head towards Lake Icy, where we will meet members of the Hadzaba tribe, who belong to the group of Bushmen of Africa. This tribe has maintained the tradition of hunting and gathering for thousands of years, and today remains one of the only hunter-gatherer tribes in the world. During the meeting we will accompany an interpreter who knows the language of the clicks through which they communicate, observe them for their livelihoods, visit their residential buildings, and get acquainted with their ancient way of life. In the fternoon will back to Karatu for overnight.
DAY 5 - LAKE MANYARA TO ARUSHA
After breakfast we depart for Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Impala, hippo and others. Late afternoon drive back to kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha for outbound.
